The Sugary Stop is more than just a seasonal beverage stand—it’s a youth-led social enterprise created by four remarkable participants from the Wezesha Dada Center’s (WDC) Youth Development Program. Ranging in age from 13 to 17, these young leaders took part in WDC’s hands-on entrepreneurship training and transformed a class project into a real-world business with community impact.

For these youth, The Sugary Stop wasn’t just their first business—it was also their first work experience.

Through WDC’s Empowering Girls Through Entrepreneurship course, they learned what it meant to take initiative, manage responsibilities, work as a team, and engage with customers—core skills that laid the foundation for future jobs and careers.
